Your 2023/2024 Officers

To become an officer of Thespian Troupe #6828, you must be in one of Mrs. G's classes, you must be an inducted Thespian, and you must fill out an application. There were many applicants, and it was a tough decision. Know that these officers are going to be a great representation of Drama Club!

“Hi guys! I am beyond excited to be your Drama Club President this year! It is truly a dream come true. Drama Club and theatre have played such a huge role in my life throughout high school, and I’m so excited to continue doing what I love my senior year with you guys! I’ve always loved theater growing up, but I honestly wasn’t planning on pursuing it my freshman year. Meeting Mrs.G totally changed my whole way of thinking. She was so charismatic and she truly acted like she wanted me around- which is the atmosphere Drama Club provides for high schoolers. We are one big happy family and we wouldn’t be complete without you! Now I know what you’re thinking “there’s not a place for me”, “I wouldn’t know what to do”, or “I don’t even know anyone”. Let me just tell you, you’re wrong! There is a PLACE, and a JOB for everyone, and new friendships are made with every event! Theatre has so much going on, on and off the stage, and there is always a role to be filled! We have an absolute blast! You won’t regret joining!”

“Hi everyone! I am very excited to be an officer for Drama Club again this year. This is my third year in Drama Club. I only auditioned for my first show because Mrs. G said I could get extra credit in her class and it was the second best decision that I have made in my life behind being baptized this year. Let's have a great year together!”

“I am a current senior -year student at Owensville High School. I’m a member of the Mid- Missouri Thespian Society. In my Freshman through Junior years I worked as backstage crew in the school’s theatre productions. I am familiar with running lighting equipment, microphones, cues, props and walkie-talkie headsets. I’ve been an award-winning stage manager for a musical production of How Do You Cope When the Cards You’ve Been Dealt Are All Bad at the Missouri Thespian Convention in the 2021-2022 school year. I was also part of the team that won first place in the “Set Design Competition” at the Missouri State Thespian Convention for the 2022-2023 school year. I’m so happy I get be a part of and serve in troupe  #6828!”

“Hey everyone! I am so excited to finally be a Drama Club officer for my senior year of high school! Drama Club has become such an important part of my school life. The lessons and responsibilities Drama Club has taught me is something that I will carry with me outside of high school! I have been in Drama Club for 3 years and have been involved with 4 shows. I think that joining Drama Club is for everyone! Everyone has a place and everyone is welcome, whether it’s on or off the stage. Personally, I am a “behind the scenes” type of person. I have done microphones for our 2022 spring production, Game Of Tiaras and our 2023 fall musical, Grease. I have also done costumes for our 2022 fall musical, Back to the 80’s and was the stage manager for our 2023 production, John Lennon And Me. With all this said, I am so beyond excited to serve our Drama Club community! “

“Howdy there! I may be fairly new to Drama Club as this is only my second year, but I absolutely adore theatre. The community and adventures you find yourself in are absolutely amazing and there’s no other place I would rather be! I hope that everyone will have the opportunity to find a place in our little family just like I did. Let’s have an absolutely fantastic year together!”
